The Arts Infrastructure and Programming Fund is a one-time funding program designed to enhance arts infrastructure and support community arts activities that increase engagement and participation in cultural activity in the Year of the Arts.
Funding is available in two categories:
1) Facility Equipment Upgrades, or
2) Community Arts Programming.
ELIGIBLE ORGANIZATIONS:
Facility Equipment Upgrades: Not-for-profit organizations that operate art-specific facilities (i.e., facilities whose primary purpose is the creation, development and/or presentation of artistic works). If you are a Professional Arts organization with equipment upgrade requirements but no facility, please contact us before applying to the fund.
Community Arts Programming: Community-based not-for-profit arts organizations and not-for-profit community organizations with arts-based programming.
Applicants to the Arts Infrastructure and Programming Fund are required to be incorporated and in good standing as a not-for-profit organization in Newfoundland and Labrador. For-profit organizations are not eligible for this fund.
AVAILABLE FUNDING:

Requests that support the purchase of arts facility technical equipment or community arts programming projects where: • The facility is available to a large number of communities and constituencies, or programming will engage/reach a large number of people in multiple communities; • Other economic and community benefits are demonstrated; and • A need for increased funding support is demonstrated. |

ELIGIBLE EXPENSES
Funding through the Arts Infrastructure and Programming Fund is intended to provide project support. Not all expenses are eligible to receive funding, and all requested budget items may not be approved. Examples of eligible expenditure types may include:
Facility Equipment Upgrades
• Facility technical equipment such as stage/house/gallery lighting, stage rigging, curtains, sound, specialized production equipment, exhibition support, etc.
• Artistic tools or equipment.
• Accessibility improvements with a direct linkage to artistic creation or presentation may qualify; please contact us before submitting request.
• Software purchases or upgrades may qualify (e.g., to support box office management); please contact us before submitting request.
Community Arts Programming
• Programming based activities such as: new creations, workshops, productions, presentations, production costs, artist fees, and travel costs.
