Canada Post Labour Dispute

With the resumption of Canada Post services on Tuesday, June 28, delivery of Provincial Government payments/correspondence has reverted to normal practice.

Public Advisory: Provincial Government Resumes Utilizing Canada Post Services

With the resumption of Canada Post services on Tuesday, June 28, delivery of Provincial Government payments has reverted to normal practice.

Payments include, but are not limited to, income and employment support cheques; wage subsidy payments; labour market program funding; public service pensions; government vendor payments; child support and spousal payments; community support services; and student loans.

In particular, July 1 payments from the Department of Human Resources, Labour and Employment and June 30 payments from the Department of Finance have been printed and will be delivered through Canada Post.

Also, any payments that were remaining for alternative delivery at Provincial Government offices will be mailed immediately.

Electronic payments will not be affected. Direct-deposit payments will be made as normal.
